What We Know

  • Session presentation from 2017 NAFSA Conference:  “Ahead of the Curve…”

We're delighted to make available the full presentation slides from our sessions at this year's NAFSA conference.

Our second session, with David diMaria from Montana State University, and Matthew Beatty from Concordia College was "Ahead of the Curve:  Business Intelligence for High Impact International Enrollment Management  (IEM) Strategies".  In this session for advanced practitioners, David talked about where the find useful internal data and intelligence, and how most effectively to use business intelligence resources internal to the institution to improve practice.  Pamela talked about the external dimension of intelligence, on markets and how market intelligence can help inform an effective IEM strategy, particularly one which help improve ROI.   Matt gave us some examples of great practice on using internal (institutional) and external (market) intelligence in an integrated IEM strategy, such as trip reporting and market intelligence asset libraries.

We were delighted at the great response we had to these sessions at this event, and thanks to everyone who participated!
