No Going Back Review Group Insights: James Richardson

Barton Carlyle is welcoming initial abstracts and ideas for submissions for “No Going Back”…Part Three.  Review Group member James Richardson has shared a few ideas about what he will be looking for in submissions for the book.  James said “I am keen to receive submissions for No Going Back, to know what colleagues are thinking and experiencing, on a couple of pertinent topics:

  • the further digitisation of the student recruitment ecosystem, accelerated by the inability of staff to travel to student export expos, and the influence (positive or otherwise) of commercial organisations in the rapid development aggregator platforms.
  • the impact of virtual mobility for students that traditionally would not have engaged in overseas travel as part of their studies”.

For those interested in participating, the guidelines for the process are available here

James Richardson is a global HE practitioner and very focussed on delivering the measurable outcomes of any strategy. James joined Sheffield Hallam University (UK) in 2011 as the Director to provide leadership for the University’s international strategic aims, which have evolved over the last decade, and include international student recruitment, Transnational Education, portfolio development and student mobility. James is currently the Director of Global Development & Partnerships at Sheffield Hallam and prior was Director of International at the University of Hull (UK) following an early career in student support services, specialising in immigration advice.
