NAFSA e-learning seminar on Risk in International Recruitment and Admission
Pamela will participate in the NAFSA e-learning seminar on June 14th on this important topic. Creating a sound risk management strategy has become an important foundation for establishing and maintaining a successful global presence for institutions. As competition increases and schools look to diversify recruitment, it is important to be cognizant of the risks in your international student recruitment and enrollment plan. This NAFSA e-Learning Seminar will explore the different types of risks in international recruitment; including practical risks in recruitment travel, international student advising, and strategic risks in international partnerships. We will review and explore the different types of risks in recruiting, tools for mitigating risks, show ways to find “hidden” risks, and answer your questions on assessing and lowering risks in your office using case studies. The content will be relevant to international enrollment management professionals in recruitment, admissions, and enrollment management, as well as senior international officers.
After attending this NAFSA e-Learning Seminar, participants will be able to:
- Identify different types of risks in enrollment management;
- Leverage risk assessment tools for admissions and recruitment professionals; and
- Evaluate implications of risks in recruitment.
The e-learning seminar will feature Pamela. Co-presenters are Eddie West, Executive Director of International Programs at the University of California-Berkeley Extension. Previously, West served as director of international initiatives at the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC); and Joe Giacalone, Executive Director of International Admission at Marist College in New York.
